

J N Reynolds Jr, 64, passed away on February 14th at Mayo Clinic following a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife Lynn of 43 years, his daughters Kelli (Scott) Brinley, Kristi (Donald) Rowland, granddaughter Kaitlyn Griffith, grandson Solomon Brinley, a special brother and sister in law Harvey (Jane) Royal, father J N Reynolds Sr and sister Sandy Schmitt and many other family and friends. He retired from the School Board after 35 years of service with the Duval County School Board. He enjoyed his retirement by caring for his granddaughter before & after school, traveling to the North Carolina Mountains, cruising to Alaska and camping up and down the east coast. He enjoyed clogging and was a member of the Electric Rhythm Cloggers. He became ill in 2009 with Liver disease and was place on the transplant list. After being on the transplant list for 3 months, he was blessed with receiving a new liver on July 29, 2009. He was in & out of the hospital over the last five years with multiple illnesses but continued to fight and beat the odds and never let it get him down, The Lord took away his pain & suffering by calling his soldier home to his army of angels. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the medical staff at Mayo Clinic for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers the family asks that in memory of J please donate to the Katie Caples Foundation, 98 South Fletcher Ave, Amelia Island, FL 32034. The Katie Caples Foundation supports organ donation by educating the youth on the importance of becoming a registered organ donor. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm in the chapel. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in the chapel at 2:00pm with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
