Jack Hubert Robinson, 71, was born on October 16, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida and died on May 3, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Marie Robinson of Jacksonville.
Jack, a graduate of Englewood High School (1964), was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his service, Jack graduated from San Diego State University where he met and fell in love with his future wife, Marti. Together with their sons, Jeff and Greg Robinson, Jack and Marti returned to Jack’s hometown of Jacksonville in 1980. Jack was the founder and owner of Robinson Pools, a successful pool construction business known to many throughout Jacksonville. After many years of hard work, Jack retired to pursue his true passion - the “art of the deal.” Whether real estate transactions, auction purchases, shopping at Shepp’s, or good old fashioned bartering, “Fast Jack” was never as happy as when he was working on a great deal.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Marti; his sons, Jeff (Carrie) and Greg (Mary Beth); his four grandchildren, Gavin, Marisa, Paisley and Henry Jack; and a host of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Jack’s family requests that donations be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society in his memory. https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/jaxhumane. It has been said that you can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals … Jack’s loving treatment of stray animals proved him to be king among men.
While Jack will be greatly missed, his family and friends take comfort in knowing that heaven has gained one heck of a “mule skinner.” Sorry folks, park's closed. Moose out front shoulda told ya.
