Hames married Linda G. Beverly on February 3, 1969. He was a plumber and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Betty L. Beverly; brother, Thomas Beverly; nieces, Tina and her kids, and Michelle, Jamie and her kids, Dana, and Johnny and his kids; sister in law, Cathy Staford; brother in law, Larry Sullivan and his kids; and niece, Misty Sullivan and her kids.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
