Jean graduated from Kimball High School in Royal Oak, Michigan and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Ferris College in Michigan.
She never married. She had a career in dental hygiene and worked for a dentist in Buffalo, NY for seven years. She moved to Florida where she worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield, then later for Humana. She had a passion for cats. She had quite a few throughout her lifetime. Later she adopted a Chihuahua named Jack and after Jack died, she adopted her love, another Chihuahua named Lucy. Lucy now lives with her sister, Barbara.
Jean is survived by her sister, Barbara G Martin; brother-in-law, Bruce E Martin; three nephews,
Dale E Martin of Orange Park, FL, Ryan P Martin of San Antonio, TX, and Matthew N Martin Orange Park, FL; and five grandnephews and grandnieces, Nathan, Logan, Michaela, Toby and Rebekah.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 1:30pm until 3:00 pm. at Hardage Giddens-Riverside Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm at Riverside Memorial Park.
