Born May 28, 1925, in Washington, PA, to Mike and Jennie Premro, her family moved to a farm in Samsula, FL when she was young. She graduated from school in Samsula, and moved to Jacksonville in 1943, to escape hard farm life, and she quickly went to work as a welder as part of the war effort.
In the following years she worked at Southern Bell as an operator, at A&P Tea Company as a bookkeeper, and later at Crowley Maritime as an operator and receptionist. She maintained close ties to the farm, returning on weekends to assist and care for her parents.
She was a member of the German-American Club, Young At Heart, and the S.N.P.J. Lodge 603 of Samsula. She loved to travel, loved to dance, and her gardening was always spectacular.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Victor, her son, Craig, and daughter, Melanie, and her two grandchildren, Abby and Adam Petronelli.
