Jerry Ronald Futch

Jerry Ronald Futch, 73, passed away on April 06, 2021 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born in Valdosta, Georgia on October 27, 1947. Jerry was a U.S. Army Veteran and was awarded the National Defense Service medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He retired as a Tank commander with special forces. Upon retirement Jerry continued his career at CSX. Jerry loved the woods and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, friend, and softball coach. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Evelyn Futch. Jerry is survived by his son Larry Futch (wife Renee), daughter Wendy Sturgeon (husband Brandon) and grandchildren Miles and Isaac Sturgeon and Csharli, Ashli , James, and Branson Clark. Jerry was 1 of 7 siblings: Wanda, Alvin (predeceased), Linda, Eddie, Robbie and Alan and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. A visitation will be on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. at Westside Baptist Church, 7775 Herlong Road, Jacksonville, FL 32210.
