OBITUARY

John Lee Brock Sr.

20 September, 1936 – 24 November, 2024
IN THE CARE OF

Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home & Riverside Memorial Park

John Lee Brock, Sr. passed away on November 24, 2024 at home peacefully with his caregivers by his side. John was born September 20, 1936 in Cameron, TX to Vance and Ernestine Brock.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Wanda P. Brock; son, John L. Brock, Jr.; and daughter, Susan A. Brock.

He was survived by his sister, Diane Brock Eddins of Cameron, TX; grandson, Tyler L. Brock of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Brandi L. Brock of Jacksonville, FL; and many extended family members.

John proudly served in our military for many years and then went to work for Civil Services until he retired.

John enjoyed being on the water in the summer, water skiing with his family and friends. He also loved playing racket ball at the base. John was a countryman who loved being on the farm taking care of his goats, horses and his dogs. Many memories were made with his wife, kids, and grandkids on the farm. John was a very loving and caring man, who loved his family and the people he made family. He loved dancing with his wife at the VFW and also at home in their later years together.

He enjoyed visits from his family and friends that would come by and share some laughs with him. He also had a passion for old cars and playing “Stooks”. He was very grateful for all the help from others along the way.

A special thanks to his niece, Gail Northway and caregiver, Misty Bias for looking after and taking good care of John and Wanda for years. Also thanks to the hospice care team, Kristin and Raygan for their loving care of John and Wanda.
