John was a lovely man who loved all the history of the Owens family. After my Mother died, Margaret Owens Weimer his cousin, he wrote me a note that I will always remember..........your Mother was often called "The Queen". I thought this was so true because I also called her "The Queen". She just had a royal air about her.

John, Dave, Tom and Family,  our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.  XX was a true "gentleman" in every sense of the word.  He will truly be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.  I personally will miss the "Golf Chairman" and "Chief Statistician" for our quarterly Santee golf trips.  It will not be the same without him.  He and Helen will watch over us all from a much better place!

Have not seen John in many years but remember a fine gentleman who enjoyed life with Helen and their kids. He loved to play golf among his other activities.

A good friend, a man of impeccable honor, of the highest integrity and unquestionable honesty. We worked together at SAL for many years and enjoyed golf together with our "Santee" group.  Sincere condolences to John's family at this time of unexpected loss and distress.  John will be lovingly missed and remembered by all who knew him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.  Fondly remembering all of the Christmas Eve's and times we spent together.  Our homes and hearts are open to all of you.
