Born on March 20, 1965. Jonathan was raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Jacksonville Episcopal High School, where he played varsity football, gleefully hosted many WAHOO parties, and made lifelong friends. He then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
Jonathan’s architectural career was as expansive as his spirit. He practiced across the globe in places as vibrant and varied as New York, Berlin, Jacksonville, San Miguel de Allende, and Costa Rica. His love of history and culture drove his desire to travel and see the world.
Jonathan is survived by his daughter, Genara Casey Gray Scott, whose life he deeply cherished and his devoted mother, Claire Gray Scott.
He will be remembered for his great stories, wry wit, and the lasting connections he formed with people from all walks of life.
A memorial service will be held by the family. Date is pending.
