CAMPOS- Jose Aquino Campos, 81, passed away November 24, 2010. He was born in the Philippines, and has lived in Jacksonville since 1985. He retired from Ponte Vedra Inn and Club and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Levi Campos.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Antonia Campos, his son, Larry Campos (Ella); daughters, Lydia Tierro (Camilo), Beth Halili (Ennie), Liza Manalansan (Arnel), Lorna Campos (Ken), Lorena Wojnaroski (Phil), and a daughter-in-law, Marita Campos; fifteen grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements for Jose Campos will include visiting hours from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 N. St. Johns Bluff. There will be a second visitation with a prayer service on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at the funeral home with interment following in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
