Joseph Welton Bounds, 91, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on October 31, 2015. Joseph was born in Newton, Mississippi on October 31, 1924. He retired as a Chief in the Navy at Mayport Naval Station after 25 years. He loved hunting & fishing with his family.
Joseph is survived by his 4 children, Anita Holland, Joseph L. Bounds, Paul E. Bounds and Barbara James, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and other family and friends. Joseph is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mavis L. Bounds.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on November 6, 2015 at Chapel Hills.The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday November 7, 2015 at Chapel Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Alz.org and Community Hospice.
