Karen Anita Deese, 64, of Jacksonville passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Born in College Park, Georgia she was the daughter of Frances Overton and the late Robert Tanner. Karen worked in administration at Memorial Hospital, retiring after 28 years of service.
She is survived by her son, Greg Terrell and his wife, Christina; daughter Christy Celani and her husband, Greg; mother, Frances Overton; brothers, Wayne Tanner, Ronnie Tanner, and Jody Overton; grandchildren, Gracie Schmidt, Kayla Terrell, Grayson Terrell, Greg Celani and Cole Celani.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 2:00pm at Hardage-Giddens, Chapel Hills Funeral Home with burial to follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
