Kate was born August 27, 1927 in Cochranton, Pennsylvania, where she resided until 1958 , when she moved to Jacksonville. She had a long career at State Farm Insurance company until retiring in 1991.
She is survived by her daughters , Karen Smith (Doug) and Karlene Blackburn (David), granddaughters Tracy Mullins(Eddie) and Brooke Mautz( Charles ) ; four great grandchildren; Karly and Dean Mullins and Lucy and William Mautz ; Sisters, Marie Nahay, Meadville, Pa and Doris Bouchard, Jacksonville.
Kate was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
