

Kenneth J. Walters, 75 of Jacksonville passed away on March 25, 2012. Kenneth is preceded by his parents Clyde Walters and Viola Leister and daughter, Angie Driver. Kenneth is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years Ouida Cowart Walters, son, Kenneth Walters Jr. and wife Candi, daughters, Cindy Lawrence and husband Wayne, Kimberly Miller and husband Teddy, brother, Bill Walters and wife Carolyn, sister, Juanita Bennett, grandchildren, Tonya Roth and husband Jason, Shane McCarthy and wife Laura, Devon Lawrence, Shelbi Walters and Griffen Walters, great-grandchildren, Phillip, Madison, Dillon, and Lauren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Kenneth worked over 20 years at Southeastern Metals Manufacturing. He enjoyed traveling the country while he was driving semi trucks for over 50 years. Alabama and Mississippi were his favorite runs. Kenneth found pride in a kept yard and decorating it for his favorite holiday, Christmas. Kenneth was a giving man. He was always ready to help to anyone. He will be remembered for his love of NASCAR, old westerns, love of his family and friends, and his determining spirit.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, Fl 32205. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. Pastor Anthony Rister will be officiating.
