Larry Bigler, longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on October 11, 2023. He served in the United States Navy and fought in the Vietnam War. Larry received numerous decorations in recognition for courageous service. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking, cruising the Caribbean, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Mervin.
He is survived by his daughter; Sherry Owens (Tim), granddaughters; Sandy Norris (Ryan), Shelly Teel (Skylar), Christie Courtney (Joey), one brother; Homer Bigler of Ohio, Great-grandchildren; Cole, Kenna, Lilly, Liam, Micah, Joseph, Cadence, and Jensen, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Larry will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A Celebration of Life will occur on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
A committal ceremony will take place immediately following the Chapel Ceremony at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
