He then began his undergrad and medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the State University of Haiti. Throughout his life, Dr. Belizaire, a General Practitioner, was considered the Doctor of the poor. He dedicated his entire medical career to assisting the poor and worked with various charitable organizations. In addition to his medical profession, he was also passionate about politics and began three years of political science studies at the National Institute of Administration, Management, and Advanced International Studies (INAGHEI). His favorite hobbies were sports in general, but especially football (soccer); classical music, French songs, and the Haitian compass. He taught himself to play the guitar. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching and commenting on football matches, discussing politics, and attending family celebrations.
A devout Catholic, he actively participated in Sunday Mass and attached great importance to the Church's important events such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost and the feasts of the Saints. In November 2011, he published his book, “ Christianité. La Dernière Alliance” to explain how the Christian faith affects every aspect of human life.
In addition to his active Catholic faith, his medical career, and his passion for football, music, and politics, Dr. Belizaire was a loving husband and father who never tired of sacrificing himself for his family. With his wife, Marie Francoise, he raised his two daughters, Dr. Johanne and Ing. Valerie, in discipline, firmness, integrity, love and respect for self and others, moral, ethical, and professional values, and a passion for science and art.
