She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Nichols; her parents, Thomas Grady and Millie Manasco; sisters, Wimberth, Imogene and Dot; brother, Joe; as well as dear friends Blanche, Lois, Dot and Eleanor.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hall (Huey); son, John Jr. (Patty); granddaughters Sierra and Tonya; great-grandchildren, Caige, Cambrie and Chainey; her sister, Joan Beasley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a long-time member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and was faithful to visit those in her church who were in nursing homes or shut-ins. Along with her friends Blanche Edwards and Lois Dixon, they became known as the “three musketeers”. They were often joined in their adventures by her friend of many years, Dot Davis. They never missed an ice cream special or discount at the local McDonalds, whose stock likely dropped dramatically at their passing.
Special thanks to her doctor of many years, J.M. Garmendia for his diligent care and guidance to family; also to the amazing, compassionate staff at St. Catherine’s for the past 4 ½ years. Thank you also for the past weeks of support by Community Hospice, her care could not have been better.

Services at 2:00 p.m., and refreshments and finger foods served from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the reception room adjoining. She will be buried beside her husband at Riverside Memorial. Services will be officiated by Pastor Simone Lyons of GO Church of Jax. Pallbearers are Caige Hall, Donnie Davis, J.J. Jelsema, David Nall, Ron Miller, Bryan Hall and Chainey Hall Jelsema.
