

Lorenzo was born on April 24, 1937, in San Antonio, Cavite City, Philippines, to Lorenzo Maylon Sr. and Eulalia Salinas Maylon. He carried with him a deep love for his heritage and family throughout his life.
Lorenzo proudly served in the United States Navy for 23 years. A veteran of the Korean War, he retired after more than two decades of honorable service. During his military career, he received several commendations, including the Good Conduct Award, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the National Defense Service Medal.
Following his military retirement, Lorenzo worked as a chef, sharing his talent and passion for cooking with many over the years.
He was a devoted Catholic and lived his life guided by faith, dedication, and love for his family.
Lorenzo is survived by his sons, Eddie, Ricky, Kevin, and Kenny; his sister, Corazon Maylon Manaois; and many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo Maylon Sr. and Eulalia Salinas Maylon; his beloved wife of 40 years, Delaney Maylon; and his sister, Filomena Maylon.
Lorenzo will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy of service, faith, and devotion will live on in all who knew him.
A committal service will be held at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home & Riverside Memorial Park, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on February 26, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
