

Margaret Elaine Crawford, known affectionately as Elaine, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024, just three days shy of her 86th birthday. Born on June 11, 1938, Elaine lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to her family, community, and faith.
Elaine is survived by her loving children, Vance Bode, Steve Crawford, and Victoria Bode Karl. She was a cherished grandmother to Ryan Nobles, Kaela Arnest, Samantha Bode, Andie, and Anson Crawford, who brought immense joy to her later years.
Elaine was a devoted wife to her late husband, Andrew Jackson Crawford, and daughter, Val Bode, and brother Stanley Hall who preceded her in death.
Professionally, Elaine had a remarkable career. She sold Avon for over 50 years, establishing strong relationships and bringing beauty and confidence to countless clients. Her dedication to her work extended into her civil service career, where she contributed tirelessly until her retirement.
Elaine’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a beloved member of The First Church of the Nazarene, where she found spiritual fulfillment and a supportive community. Her passion for music was evident in her 10-year tenure with the Jacksonville Symphony Choir, where she shared her love for singing and brought joy to many through her performances.
Elaine's legacy is one of unwavering faith, enduring love, and selfless service. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the countless lives she touched through her professional and personal endeavors.
A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 on Friday, June 21, 2024. Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm, following a service at 4:00 pm and reception will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The First Church of the Nazarene in Elaine’s honor.
