Ricky and I were her neighbors in the early nineties on Dellwood. I met her late on a Saturday night after coming home from work. As I'm turning into my driveway I noticed an elderly woman standing in the street . She has her hands folded , in her night gown and smiling in the Christmas lights that lite up my house.  I stepped out of my car and said " can I help you ? "  She laughed and said "I'm just looking your lights ."  That was the beginning of 22 year friendship that I will cherish forever.

I never had the pleasure of meeting you in person Mary, but heard all about you from my Mother, Betty Bolin. My Mother was married to your brother Billy Alfred. Both of them are now in Heaven with you. I bet you guys are having a wonderful reunion. 
My Mother and Step Father would visit Mary in Jacksonville on many occasions. My mother would show her photos and tell her stories of Tyler; my son and Mom and Bills grandson.  She would send cards to me telling me what a handsome son I have, Tyler is in Heaven now as well.
Thank you Mary for being so kind and loving towards me and my son and my Mother. She loved you so very much.  Blessings and prayers to your friends and family as they navigate this world without your physical presence. I look forward to meeting you in Heaven Mary!


So sorry for yalls loss. I met ms.mary through tammy and john. They brought her out to the country to see the cows and chickens and to meet ethan. She was so delighted to come her sweet face shined when she seen all the animals and my boy. She enjoyed telling us stories ,and "SHE LOVED TEXAS".  I was so lucky to been able to make her a pretty texas cups with the state and the little blue bells surrounding it. Rip ms. Mary!!! 

Ms Mary - it was a pleasure to know you.  You were that yellow rose from Texas and it was wonderful to be around you.  We have an angel watching over us. You are gone from our sights but not our hearts or minds.  

One thing I will always remember about Ms.Mary is her voice. Talking to her always lifted my spirits. Her voice carried so much light and love in it, it always made a grey day so much sunnier and brighter. I will miss her greatly.


Ms Mary aka grandma bc I adopted her as that. She was a very enthusiastic and happy woman. I will always remember her stories, smile, her out look in life and just never take the little things in life for granted. Helping her and taking her out and about was always lots of fun. We had lots of fun going out a d trying new things. She is a very wonderful person to have spent the last 3ish years with and just a reminder to be grateful for what you have and to always work hard at what ever you do in life. 

Miss Mary was an amazing woman.  I am so thankful that I met her and was able to spend time with her, hearing her stories about growing up in Texas, raising her daughter as a single mom during a time when it was not the popular thing to do, and her various jobs and experiences here in Jacksonville, FL. She inspired me with her sheer determination to push through when she could have easily given up. She was a joy to spend time with and I will always treasure the times we went out for a burger at The Loop.  She always had me order hers "smashed and super duper well done".  She reminded me so much of my own mother and was always so grateful for everything we did for her. She was not just my neighbor, she was part of my family.  I am going to miss her terribly and will always remember her smile and fighting spirit. I will never forget her.

Ms.Mary’s smle and laughter lit up any room we were in. Our adventures and her stories will be with me forever. 
I am so blessed and grateful for every moment we spent together.  
She will be missed greatly. 

I was honored to be a part of Marys’ life for the short time I was listening to her stories made me realize that this was the most hardest working women I have ever met. I will miss her deeply
