Mary A Luth

LUTH- Mary A. Luth, 85, passed away May 11, 2012 in Lexington, NC. She was born on June 6, 1926 in Park Rapids, MN to Julian and Stella Kaufenberg. She was a parishioner at Christ the King Catholic Church and for the last six years a parishioner at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and was an exceptional homemaker, known for her immaculate housekeeping, exquisite cooking, and dedication to her family.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward R. Luth; daughter-in-law, Karen Luth; and three siblings. Survivors include her children, Thomas E. Luth (Sharon), Gerald G. Luth (Wilma), Kathryn M. Harter (Robert), and Dale J. Luth; three sisters, Gin Ness, Jo DuBuc, and Barbara DePalma; brother, Al Kaufenberg; grandchildren, Eric, Greg, Stephen, Tiffany, Gerri Ann, Ryan, Ben, Karmen, and Kristin; and great-grandchildren, Taft, Tucker, Lucian, Kayla, and Abigail.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, with a Vigil service starting at 7 p.m., at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 N. St. Johns Bluff.
