

Mary Ann was born in River Junction, FL on May 9, 1935 to Benjamin Earl Hunt and Mildred Hand. She graduated from Climax Consolidated School in Climax, GA in 1953 and married Marion Tryon on September 18, 1953.
Preceded in death by her husband, Marion Tryon, who passed away on March 22, 1977; and daughter, Sharon Ann Tyron, who was born in 1984 and died at 18 years old as the result of a hit and run accident on North Main Street in Jacksonville. Mary also had many lifetime friends who have also preceded her.
Mary was taught at an early age to fish and hunt squirrels. She and husband owned and operated a Horse Ranch on Normandy Boulevard; both were accomplished riders and handlers. She also was an accomplished piano player, starting as a child while accompanying her grandfather, who was a Baptist preacher. She worked as a secretary in accounting. She loved cats; her favorite was “Bella”, who was rehomed to a great family when she moved to Vivo Health Care.
Vivo Health Care assisted her in the final months with dignity and comfortable care.
She will live in the memory of her friend and Health Care Advocate, Fran Hurst and her husband, John Hurst.
A graveside service for Mary will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
