

Mrs. Mary Frances Harvey-Kyles-Stewart
Mrs. Mary Frances was born on March 7,1932 in Webster County, in the city of Preston, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Albert D. Harvey and the late Mary “Lucy Mae” Pickett-Harvey.
Mary Frances was educated in the public schools of Webster and Terrell counties. At an early age, she joined Second Baptist Church in Plains, GA with her family and later moved her membership to the C.O.G.I.C. Temple under the late Bishop Samuel Penn Nesbitt in Jacksonville, FL. She held several positions as: Church Mother, Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent for well over two decades.
Mary Frances employment included domestic worker for: Mrs. Proctor, Mrs. Bozeman, and Aunt Rose to name a few. Later she became employed at Myers Fish House and then onto Duval County School Board where she worked as a top-notch custodian for 30 years. She decided to hang up her mop and gloves and retired December 1998. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed her favorite acts of services: cleaning and cooking for the church, the youth, and her favorite prize possession: Her Grandchildren.
She transitioned from this life on May 28, 2021, where there will be no more pain, suffering or sleepless nights, because to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. She was preceded in death by three spouses: Joe Kyles, Eugene Davis, and James Stewart; two children: Leroy Harvey and John Harvey; eleven brothers; eight sisters and one grandchild: Leroy Harvey Jr.
Her memory will be cherished by her six children: JoAnne Kyles, Ernest Kyles (Yvonne); Thelma Kyles-Washington (Jimmy) Jensen Beach, FL; Latonya Davis-Stallings (Eric); Julie Davis-Greene (Walter); Betty Davis-Burr Charlotte, NC. one sister: Janie Mann-Prather of Stuart, FL; two sister-n-laws: Dorothy Harvey, Newark, NJ; Dorothy Sanders, West Palm Beach, FL; one devoted grandchild, raised as a daughter, Terri Harris-Dixon; 17-grandchildren, 38-great grandchildren, and 5-great-great grandchildren; devoted caregiver of 5yrs: Marva Johnson and her favorite emotional support dog, “Teddy” A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing friends.
