A boat was her happy place; she loved the ocean and fishing but most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. She always had a snappy comeback, giving that sassy "Mary Ellen attitude" which everyone grew to love.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Mizer of Jacksonville, FL and Susan Poole (Danny) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Christy Mizer, Nicki Mizer, Daniel Poole (D.J.) and Seth Curry; and great-grandchild Camron Kirkpatrick.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Ellis L. Fountain.
