Willie Maxine Dent Mobley passed away September 26, 2010. She was born November 16, 1921 in Orlando, FL and moved to Jacksonville as a small child and lived out the remainder of her life there. Maxine owned and operated Mobley Insurance Agency and Mobley’s Sundries at Grand Crossing for many years. She was a member of Paxon Church of Christ, Woodstock Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Daughters of the Nile.
Maxine is survived by: aunt Sylvia Ruff; nephew Edward Rudowick; and caregivers Dale and Melisse Shackleton. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Lottie Dent; her husband Leon S. Mobley; and her brother James Dent.
The family will receive friends Wednesday September 29, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday September 30, 2010 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
