

Melinda Faye Stark-Robertson, age 68, a caring, loving, free spirited, devout Christian women born on March 27, 1952 in Portsmouth, Ohio. After a brief illness, she passed and entered heaven on August 26, 2020 in Middleburg, Florida.
Melinda moved with her parents James and Bernice Stark to Jacksonville Florida at a young age. She grew up on the Westside of Jacksonville where she graduated from Cedar Hills Elementary, Jefferson Davis Jr. High, & Nathan B. Forest Sr High school. Melinda was in the marching band in school and played the flute. She was also a talented piano player.
Melinda married Ramsay Robertson on April 17, 1971 and lovingly mothered 4 children during their marriage of 49 years.
She moved to Dalton, Georgia for a short period in 1978 while her husband was in the Army National Guard.
In 1978, she relocated back to Jacksonville, Florida where she was employed at Riverside Memorial Hospital for a short period before beginning her career of 34 years at USPS.
In 1984, she relocated to Middleburg, FL with her family as she began working at the USPS Bulk Mail center as a sack sorter then was promoted to an office position. She served as a union steward at the USPS for a few years then in 1996 she relocated to the district office where she operated the Satellite Broadcast Channel for the USPS. The broadcast was one of the highlights of Melinda’s career. She also loved helping with public events at USPS. At the end of her career she was in operations where she oversaw making sure all mail was scanned and accounted for each day for the entire district.
Melinda loved volunteering and helping people with USPS community involvement programs and was responsible for starting a program at Wilkinson Elementary while her son Richard Robertson attended the school called Adopt an Angel where she gave 150 needy families Christmas Dinner and Toys. Each year she would deliver on Christmas Eve toys with her son and husband. She also supplied 150 needy students Thanksgiving dinner as well. Melinda loved helping people and had a sympathetic ear that could listen and give guidance to anyone. She will always be remembered for her caring heart, sense of humor, beautiful red hair, the best hugs, paying it forward, & helping her family throughout their lives.
Melinda joins her father James Stark and brothers Richard Stark, Robert Stark, Jimmy Stark, & Ronald Stark.
She is survived by her four children, Sean Robertson, Jennifer Robertson, Amanda Shedd (Morris), & Richard Robertson.
Her (9) Grand-Children & also survived by her mother Bernice Stark & sister Denise Stark and brother Roger Stark.
