

Meloney ”Jean” Wilson, age 52, entered into the joy of the Lord and her mother on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family in Jacksonville, FL. She entered this beautiful world on March 15, 1963, in Jacksonville, FL to Edward “Buddy” and Marilyn Chaney. She was a member of the Hart Haven Baptist Church and was very active in life enjoying the outdoors through photography, countless trips to the mountains, fishing, crafts of all kinds, and her most recent endeavor glass slumping. As a registered Nurse and Respiratory Therapist it was only natural for her to put others needs in front of her own. Her coworkers or “girls” as she often referred to them, she mentored and guided them to become the best.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 32 years Douglas Wilson, her daughter Ashley Waddell (Jesse) and her beloved grandson Bryce Douglas; her father Edward Chaney (Catherine); her brothers John Chaney, and Jeff Chaney (Mary Ann); her sister Joy McDaniel (Sam Hatcher) and extended family. She was predeceased by her mother Marilyn Chaney, and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Riverside Memorial Park.
