Monie Lee Bordonaro

Monie was born on July 21,1936 to Lucy & Sheridan Blassingame, in Batesville, Arkansas.

On November 17, 1960 she married the love of her life Louis Bordonaro in Topeka, Kansas. They went on to have two children, Gracie and Lou Allan.

Her first full time job was as a telephone operator in St. Louis, MO. After getting married and starting a family she became a stay at home mom. In her 40’s she went back to work in the corporate world for NCR for a few years. While working there she became a grandmother and the call to stay home and help take care of them was too great, so she left NCR in 1991.

She would tell anyone that her greatest treasures were her grandchildren, Stephanie, Steven and Shannon. And her favorite title was being called Grams.

Monie was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy & Sheridan Blassingame, brothers, Clinton, Earl and Harold and her Sister Erma.

She is survived by her husband Louis Bordonaro, daughter Gracie Abney (Chad), son Lou Allan, grandchildren, Stephanie, Steven & Shannon and twin brother Monfort.

A visitation for Monie will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 3, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A committal service will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
