

Savior Jesus Christ on June 27, 2012. Pete
was born on September 22, 1942 to the late
Francis and Marie Jarvis in Lewiston, ME. He
grew up in Jacksonville and graduated from
Bishop Kenney High School. He served in the
Air Force after graduation and returned to
Jacksonville after his military service ended.
He went to work for Bell South where he met
his bride Barbara. He retired from AT&T after
32 years of service. Pete and Barbara were
married for 44 years and have three children
Susan (Rick) Gilley, Cherie (Jesse) Caswell
and Mark (Kim) Jarvis. He loved his family and
taught his children family comes first. He was
also blessed with six grandchildren Megen,
Daniel, Kelli and Kyle Caswell, Ashleigh Gilley,
and Deven Jarvis.
Pete became a Christian at the age of 62 and
he loved the Lord and loved going to church.
He was a member of Palatka Baptist Temple
in Palatka, FL. He moved to Hilliard in 2007.
The family will receive friends from 3-5pm,
Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Hardage-Giddens
Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff
Road N. Jacksonville. Funeral service will be
held at 11am, Monday, July 2, 2012 at the
funeral home with Pastor Curtis Harrington
officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington
Park Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be
made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
