

Quran aka Mr. Q or Red served honorably as a Sergeant in the United States Army, regiments Wolf Pack 2003, Comanche 2004 – 2005, Rock Hard 2005 and Top Gun. He toured twice in Iraq, where he was wounded after his first tour. After returning home he joined Pastor Don Johnson, Jr.’s congregation. Quran also went on to receive his AA degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) in Bio-Medical Sciences, where he worked as a lab manger, as well as working at Game Stop. Quran was passionate about his higher education and was actively pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-Medical Sciences. Quran’s humble spirit allowed him to serve others with joy, always giving to others.
He was preceded in passing by his brother Gregory C. Pearson, Grandmother Ophelia Jackson (Harold) and Abraham Pearson.
Quran is survived by his children Quran A. Pearson,Jr., Kha’Mari Pearson, grandchildren Markel and Massiah Pearson, his mother Yvonne Pearson, brother Shawn (Tumeca) Pearson, sisters: Janiese (Danielle)Wilkerson, Shamika (Wil) Wright, special sisters and brothers Walter (Yolanda) Stafford, Shawnda (Jonathan) Chaney, Simon (Bridgett) Shannon, Simona (Charles)Matthews and Lakesha Outlaw; devoted nieces Keonna (Darren) Baldwin, Lashawnda (Ricky) Johnson, Kyara Worthy, Adaline Wright, devoted nephews Gregory Pearson and Sherman Hackley Jr., girlfriend Mystickol Williams, best friend Charles “Chuck” Tillman Jr., and a host of other nieces, nephews, loving family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 11:30 am at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
