Rachel Mae Brown was born in Ardmore, Alabama and died on September 29, 2015 in Jacksonville Florida. She and her husband (who has gone to be with the Lord) owned and operated a general aviation business locally. She was an active member of a Red Hatter’s Club. Rachel’s Husband was a member of the Shriners at the Morocco Temple and she was still active in social activities with their friends there. She also was a member of Hogan Road Baptist Church where she enjoyed her Sunday School class and volunteering her time in the Thrift store for the church. Prior to her husband’s passing, Rachel and her husband Clarence enjoyed traveling to many various places, he was a pilot that traveled for work so she would go with him in their younger years. She enjoyed working in the yard and had an amazing green thumb. She took pride in her flowers. After losing her beloved husband she found enjoyment in going on cruises with her friends and family. But what she loved most was spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren, playing, visiting, and supporting them in their activities.
She is survived by her children Freda Gail Brown and Deborah Mattson; grandchildren, Ammie Goodin and Vincent Buterbaugh; great-grandchildren, Caleb Goodin, Clarence Goodin, Kayla Buterbaugh, Emalee Goodin, and Chelsea Buterbaugh; brothers, Bobby Stevenson and Gary Stevenson. She is pre-deceased by her loving husband Clarence Brown, her parents Theron and Era Stevenson, and her brothers Billy and John Paul Stevenson.
