Ralph James Malphurs Jr.

On January 7th, 2018 God called home one of his own, Ralph James Malphurs, Jr. He was bold, lovable and an avid Gator fan. He had a selfless love for animals and loved his family with an undeniable kind of love. Those that knew him as more than just an acquaintance knew that he was the type of man that would make your father blush with the dirtiest joke just to make you laugh. He loved fishing and would often take his family fishing. He had a passion for being a casino dealer. He loved his wife to the moon and back.

He is survived by his loving wife, Verna H. Malphurs; children, Shawna M. Oswalt (William Oswalt) (Doe Eyed Girl), Susan R. Genninger (Daddy’s Girl), Stephanie N. Malphurs, (Daddy’s Baby Girl), Sgt. Steven H. Malphurs (Linda Malphurs) (Dad’s Soldier Boy), and Shane A. Malphurs (Daddy’s Baby Boy); and grandson, Niklaus E. Malphurs. He is also survived by his siblings: sister, Deborah D. Lucas; sister, Cathy Boyer (Darrell Boyer) and nieces and nephews James Boyer, Whitney Serpa (Brandon Serpa) and Kira Boggs (Gabriel Boggs); brother, Rickey L. Malphurs (Pamela Malphurs) and nephew, Rickey L. Malphurs II (Kayla Malphurs); and brother, Roger F. Malphurs (Mary Beth Malphurs) and nephews, Nick Altman (Kristin Altman) and Roger F. Malphurs II.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32205.

He will be sincerely loved and missed more than he will know.

We will love him and celebrate the life he lived.
