Ady was born on February 27, 1945, in Calapan, Oriental, Mindoro, Philippines. Ady started his undergraduate degree at Far Eastern University Philippines where he became part of the boxing varsity team but later decided to move back to his hometown where he finished his Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Business Management at the Divine Word College of Calapan. He worked briefly at the Budget Office of the Department of Environment & Natural Resources Philippines but later pursued his passion of becoming a policeman. After 25 years of service, Ady retired as a Major of the Philippine National Police.
He moved to the United States in 2007 with his wife and daughter. Ady loved boxing, singing, and cooking. He loved shopping for clothes and shoes and collecting knives. He served with integrity throughout his career as a police officer. He loved talking to people. Even though he wasn’t that expressive, he was a loving and responsible father and husband.
Ady is survived by his wife, Remedios Gil Gozar; two sons, Michael Gozar and Giovanni Gozar; three daughters, Clarissa Gozar Lim and her husband Bong, Raquel Gozar & Steve and Cristina Gozar; two sisters; three brothers; two granddaughters; Adelle Gozar and Bella Lim, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is predeceased by his parents; Ismael & Antonia Gozar, two sisters and three brothers.
A visitation for Ady will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
