Born to Dominador and Eliza Bañez in Bataan, Philippines, Bobby was a free-spirit and wanted to travel the world. He enlisted in the US Navy, proudly serving for 20 years and then he worked an additional 20 years in government civil service. On May 10, 1970, Bobby married Gloria and together they grew their life and legacy of love and family. Bobby enjoyed fishing, golfing, and cooking . Always the life of the party, he entertained everyone with his amazing Elvis and Sinatra-like voice. He was handsome, charming, and a joy to be around. Bobby was a loving and devoted husband and father, but his role as “Papa” is what made him most proud. He planned everything around his grandchildren and planned all of his travels around them. They were his pride and joy and their Papa was truly the apple of their eyes.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Gloria; his three children and their spouses, Richard (Beverly) Bañez, Grace (Butch) Delgado, Robert (Suruchi) Bañez, Jr.; his six grandchildren, RJ, Chase, Nico, Kendall, Baron, and Anika; and his siblings, Ferdinand, Frederick, Norma, Phillip, and Arthur.
