

Rodney Alexander “Alex” Hunter, 33, passed away on April 27, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on July 6, 1991, in Abington, Pennsylvania, Alex brought light and laughter to those around him throughout his life.
Alex was a devoted son to his mother Jacqueline Holly Hunter. He shared deep bonds with his sisters, Amanda Figueroa and Jennifer Unkle. His extended family held a special place in his heart, including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews- among them Landon, Daniel, Michael, Cady and Amy.
He was preceded in death by his father Rodney Hunter; his grandfather Nelson Oswald and grandmother Laura Oswald; his brothers Benjamin Unkle IV and Matthew Unkle; and his uncle Charles M. Oswald.
Alex was known for his unwavering dedication to those he loved. A hard worker by nature and always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh, he was the kind of person who could be counted on in any situation. His sense of humor and considerate spirit left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
In addition to his family, Alex found joy in his hobbies and interests. He was an avid gun collector who loved spending his free time at the shooting range. He was passionate about weightlifting, always striving to better himself physically and mentally. A true sports enthusiast, he was a loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Go Birds!, often sharing his excitement for the games with friends and family, creating countless cherished memories.
Alex’s life will be celebrated on May 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Crown Point Church. We invite all who knew him to join us in honoring the remarkable life of this extraordinary young man. As we gather to share stories and cherish memories, we will carry Alex’s spirit forward in our hearts, remembering a life so beautifully lived.
