

On Friday, August 2nd, 2019, Rogelio Lorenzana Regulacion, passed away at the age of 80 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside in Jacksonville, Florida, surrounded by his family and friends. He was a strong and caring husband, father, lolo, familyman, and golfer.
Rogelio was born in Olongapo City, Philippines on September 12th, 1938 to Florencio and Celedonia (Lorenzana) Regulacion. He studied architecture at Feati University, Manila, Philippines before joining the United States Navy in 1961. During his service, he worked as a Mess Specialist and traveled overseas to places like Vietnam, Spain, and many more. Rogelio was awarded with medals for his service during the Vietnam War. He became the personal chef for the Captain of the NSA Annapolis Navy Base. He served 20 years before retiring in 1981. After retiring from the navy, he attended culinary school in Annapolis, Maryland where he pursued his passion for cooking. He was recognized in the paper for his ice sculptures and other culinary skills. He was the manager of both the Bachelor Officers Quarter and the Enlisted Men's Club at NAS Cecil Field Naval Base. Rogelio has been a brother of the Filipino Travelers for decades. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing his Wednesday tee time, and making his famous lumpia.
Loved ones that will miss Rogelio until they meet again are his wife, Loida; his sons, Reynaldo (Michelle), Rogelio Jr., Roger, and Rhyan (Kathy Garcia); his daughters, Shaylan and Loixandra; his grandchildren, Michael, Issabella, Elijah, Hannah, Madison, Malia, Nyasiah, Auja, and Kora; his great-grandson, Aiden; his siblings, Zenida Alaras, Romulo (Tita) Regulacion, Ruth (Lolito) Dizo, and Carmelita Regulacion; his dog, Daisy, and grand-dog, Artemis; and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. Loved ones that cleared the path for Rogelio are his parents, Florencio and Celedonia Regulacion, and his daughter,
Nenita English.
The family will receive friends at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 5:00 - 9:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 beginning at 11:00 am also at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest with Naval Honors at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
