Born with a curious mind and a compassionate spirit, Rosemary pursued higher education with great dedication. She studied Criminal Justice at the University of New Orleans, Class of 1976, and went on to further her education by studying Political Science at the University of Florida, graduating in the Class of 1978. Her academic journey reflected her passion for justice, civic life, and the betterment of her community. She retired from the State of Florida in 1998 after many years as a CPI investigator.
Known for her creativity and skill, Rosemary had a deep passion for sewing, crafting, and reading — hobbies that brought joy not only to her, but to those lucky enough to receive her handmade gifts or thoughtful book recommendations. In addition, she enjoyed tending to her garden — her hands brought beauty and life to every space she tended. Whether she was growing flowers or vegetables, her garden was a place of peace and pride.
Rosemary was a devoted sports fan, always cheering on her favorite teams: the New York Yankees, the Florida Gators, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. She enjoyed time spent at the ballpark, watching her grandson Christopher play baseball. Later, she would get to watch her great-grandsons develop their love and skill for the game as well.
Rosemary is survived by sons Muldrew M. Dennis, Jr. (Lana), and Michael M. Dennis, daughter Amy Lynn Blowers (Glen), grandson Christopher S. Dennis (Lindsay), great-grandchildren Rhett and Rhys, sister Nancy Harmon, brothers Michael Culbreth, Walter Culbreth, and Richard Culbreth, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in passing by her husband, Muldrew M. Dennis (married 62 years), her son, Scott David Dennis, brothers Thomas Culbreth, Daniel Edward “Bubba” Culbreth, Charles “Buddy” Culbreth, and sister Pauline “Bebe” Noble.
