

Roxanne Alphonso was born on January 27th, 1965, in Georgetown, Guyana to George Alphonso and Sheila Prince. While in Guyana she attended Tucville Primary School and Multilateral High School. In the early 1980s, she moved to the island of St. Maarten with her father to start a new life, then went on to plant roots on the Beautiful Island of Aruba and later on in Jacksonville, Florida.
Roxanne was a Powerful Woman of God who pursued the assignment on her life with great zeal. She traveled the world, sharing the goodness of God through her testimony, of how she was saved from an almost fatal accident in 2010. The event that catapulted her into her divine purpose as an Evangelist.
Roxanne was also a hard-working, passionate figure of strength who never wavered in her support or love of her family and who soldiered on, even when times were tough. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally and made many sacrifices to give them the best of what she had.
Glorifying God and loving her family was the most important, and what she lived her life for. She touched many lives through her faith, encouraging words, and great sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Roxanne departed this life on Thursday, October 14, 2021, to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Alphonso and Sheila Prince, and Sibling Sandra Dandrade.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Children, Melissa Richardson, Makeisha Hinds, Kennisha Cathlin, and Kelvin Stephan Cathlin; Grandchildren, Chestney Lynch, Zenney Lynch, Kalayah Cornett, Meyoni Bryant, and Kalem Richardson. Siblings, Compton Hendricks, Lawrence Hendricks, Rose Alphonso, Claire Alphonso, Jacqueline Hamilton, and Alexis Hamilton.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, October 30th, 2021, at Impact Church, 9501 Arlington Expressway, Jacksonville, FL 32225. Further details are TBD.
