Shirley Maureen Dees

She was born on February 12, 1931 in Jacksonville, the daughter of John and Alberta Noble.

Shirley worked for Winn-Dixie where she met her husband, Griff Dees and they were married on July 23, 1954 and had 3 sons. She was predeceased by her beloved Griff on March 17, 2001 after 47 years of marriage.

She is survived by her 3 sons, James Timothy 'Tim' Dees, James Anthony 'Tony' Dees, and James Ted Dees, 3 daughters-in-law, Abbie, Jackie and Heather, 9 grandsons, James Timothy Dees Jr., James Anthony Dees Jr. (Britiany), Jonathan Elijah Dees, Matthew John Dees (Catherine), Zachary Dees (Ashley), Derek James Dees, Nathan Cole Dees, Shawn Kyle Dees, Caleb Alexander Dees; 7 granddaughters; Samantha Kay Dees, Mikaela Lynn Dees (fiancee Sean Robinson), Harleigh McDonald, Hannah McDonald, Taylor Ignarri (Paul), Rose Andrea Carrion, Bethany Michelle Mendoza (Jose), and 13 great grandchildren; Matthew Treyton Dees, McKinleigh Josephine Dees, Madalyn LeAnne Dees, James Griffith Dees, James Eldan Dees, Logan Elijah Dees, Savannah Lynn Dees, Jonathan Blake Dees, Maelynn Hope Dees, Millie Rose Dees, Ravi Sehdev Sharma, Nolan River Murphy, Elijah Robert King, and Scarlett Ignarri.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Riverside Event Pavilion,1373 Memorial Park Road, Jacksonville, FL. Visitation will begin at 12pm; Funeral service at 2pm followed by graveside committal ceremony. Reception immediately after at Riverside Event Pavilion.

Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, friend; she meant so much to so many touching many lives. Her undying love for her family was undeniable and she touched us all. She will truly be missed.
