

Shirley P.Schramm, age 74, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully on February 19, 2024 at community hospice in St.Vincent Riverside Hospital. She was born to the late James L. Perry and Marcelle I. Phillips in Jacksonville Florida on September 1, 1949. For 33 years she worked as a Rural letter carrier for the United States Postal Service until she retired in 1999. She enjoyed many things throughout her life but her utmost favorites were antiquing, looking for shark's teeth, and genealogy. Shirley was the glue that held her family together. Family was precious to her and she lived for making memories with them. Shirley meant so much to everyone that knew her and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parent's James L. Perry and Marcelle I. Phillips; her Husband Lawrence W. Schramm Sr; Brother Larry E. Perry; and Best Friend Cathy Summers. Shirley leaves behind her Brother Donald (sunhwa) Perry; Daughter Tammy D. Cooper; Grandson Christopher (Aaron) Cooper; Granddaughter Lauren A. Dodd; Great- Granddaughter Emma L. Cooper. Her StepChildren Lawrence Schramm Jr. and Shelly Schramm. Along with many others from her bonus family ranging from nieces and nephews, several grandkids, and cousins.
A visitation for Shirley will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for family at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, a committal service will be held at Riverside Memorial Park.
