

He was born on September 30, 1947, in Washington, D.C., to Oscar Delone Poole and Mattie Virginia Poole.
On February 10, 1972, he married the love of his life, Mary Lee Poole, with whom he shared many years of devotion and partnership.
Vinson proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Then went on to build a meaningful career as a computer programmer with IBM. He later continued his work as an inspector at a water plant, contributing his skills and dedication to his community. Vinson earned a bachelor’s degree from Clayton State University.
He had a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys. Vinson enjoyed watching golf, spending time in nature, hiking, writing poems, and listening to music.
He was a man of faith and was affiliated with the Baháʼí Faith.
Vinson is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lee Poole; his son, Naverro A. Poole Sr.; and his daughters, Quinacco Harper, Rainno Branch, and Keitha Lovett. He is also survived by his sister, Rose Ester Poole, Grandchildren, Tawanaca Davenport, Quan Branch, Leevan Hayman, Kinley Ogbonnaya, and Antrio Poole, and
Great grandkids, Johaun Davenport-Barnett, Armani Moua, Jeremiah Moua, Zinai Hayman.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Poole and Ernest Poole.
Vinson will be remembered for his quiet strength, thoughtful spirit, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched.
A Funeral Service will be held at Baha'i Community Center of Jacksonville, 5034 Greenland Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258, on May 11, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Committal Service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218, on May 11, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
