

Virginia Parrish Cauthon of Neptune Beach, Florida, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at the age of 88. Virginia was was born on March 18, 1925 in De Funiak Springs, Florida and was the daughter of Bonnie Lee Stall and Ocie Parrish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Ray Cauthon and son Gilbert Ray Cauthon Jr. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Bonnie Cauthon of Gainesville Florida; her daughter-in-law Ruth McLaughlin of High Springs, Florida; her nephew and his wife, Wayne and Joyce Breckenridge of Waukee, Iowa; her grandsons and their wives: Ray and Margaret Cauthon of Gainesville, Florida; Raphael and Becky Gibbs of Poolesville, Maryland and Eric Cauthon of HIgh Springs, Florida; her five beautiful great-granddaughters: Isabel Gibbs of Poolesville, Maryland; Claire and Caroline Cauthon of Gainesville, Florida and Ashton and Kelly Cauthon of High Springs, Florida; her brother Gary Parrish of Roanoke, Virginia and her sister Brenda Parrish of Nashville, Tennessee. She will also be remembered with love by many other relatives, friends and neighbors. Virginia grew up, graduated from Lee High School, and raised her family in Jacksonville, Florida. When her beloved husband Ray retired, they moved to Neptune Beach, Florida. She and Ray were long time members of Murray Hill Baptist Church in Jacksonville and then Neptune Baptist Church in Neptune Beach. Ray was a retired air traffic controller and Virginia remained a member of NARFE. Affectionately known as "Bugs" to family and close friends, Virginia was an accomplished homemaker and a wonderful mother and wife. She was loved by all who knew her. Arrangements entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm and interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park following funeral services.
