There are no words that can say how great our Mother is. The one thing that’s for sure, this world is a lesser place and heaven has gained a precious angel. She was the world’s greatest Mother always caring for us. Proud of her family, she is the glowing light that shined on us all. She was a caregiver always there to help family and friends. Always worried about others verses herself. Momma was a strong woman, never wanting to be a burden, being independent, taking care of herself always doing more than she should, but living life to the fullest by driving herself to church and bowling on Thursday with our sister Libbie and her brother and sisters then back To Momma’s for family time and a fun game of dominos. Mom loved her church and Sunday school, loving and praising Jesus for all her many blessings. She truly lived for Jesus and it showed through the way she lived her life teaching our family to love Jesus. Vonceil was an active member of Lake Shore United Methodist Church where she has held numerous offices over the years, always being a mentor to others that would come after her. Momma was a proud lady who always wanted to be her best and set a positive example for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom was the world's greatest cook. She loved entertaining family and friends preparing meals fit for a king, showing her love and support through her kind caring touch. We loved Momma so much and she loved us although it never needed to be said. We never missed the opportunity to tell each other how much we loved one another. Momma loved our Dad and missed him everyday and they are now walking hand in hand together. We can all hear our Dad say “hey Shug, I’ve been waiting for you”. Although the pain our family is feeling is almost more than we can bear, we also know that Mom is rejoicing in Heaven with our Dad, family and friends. She loved her husband, her children and all of her family with a devotion that not many families ever experience.
