Wilbert James Turner married Jacquline Evanell Purvis on December 14, 1957. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with family and friends but also enjoyed automobile repair and NASCAR.
He worked for the City of Jacksonville, FL in Equipment Control.
Wilbert is survived by his son, Earl Wilbert Turner, daughter-in-law, Carol Turner and grandson, Trey Jordan Turner, all of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Wanda Worth of Hazlehurst, GA, Jeanette Anderson of Jesup, GA and Carolyn Waldroup of Douglas, GA.
Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Clyde Turner; wife, Jacquline Evanell Purvis Turner; granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Turner; three brothers, Willey Turner, Elbert Lee Turner and Billy Turner; and three sisters, Catherine Jones, Virginia Lewis and Gerrell Faircloth.
A Visitation will be on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 with the Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Riverside Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m.
