

He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Perth Amboy, New Jersey in 1960. From there he joined the U.S. Navy until 1966. During that time he served on the U.S.S. Independence, CVA-62. Also, in 1966 he married Marie C. Jeffers Molloy, whom he was married to until his death. His first job out of the Navy was working for the Staten Island Rapid Transit as a Conductor. He went on to do many other jobs, some of them being a Driving Instructor for the Handicapped. A Security Guard for JFK Hospital in Edison, New Jersey. After moving to Jacksonville Florida in 1999, he worked for UNF as a Shuttle Bus Driver.
One of his favorite part time jobs was being an umpire for all levels of softball, he did this in both New Jersey and in Florida. This was only after his daughter's softball career ended, because he was a passionate fan and coach early on.
Willam was predeceased by both his parents, George and Anna Molloy, his older brother George F. Molloy Jr and his former wife Karen Schied. Also, his brother-in-law John Cieplinski.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years Marie C. Jeffers Molloy, his daughter Tara J Molloy, in Florida. His brother and sister-in-law Richard Molloy and Dorothy Jeffers Molloy, his sisters Anna Molloy Cieplinski, Margeret Molloy Rieder and her husband Rene Rieder and Bernardette Molloy Larson and her husband John Larson. His sister-law Patricia Jeffers. Along with 14 nieces and nephews and many cousins.
A Committal Service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a date to be announced.
