Joan Scott, age 82, of West Bloomfield, passed away on September 18, 2019. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 24, 1937. Joan graduated from Denby High School in Detroit and received additional training in office administration. She was married to Albert Bayer in 1959 and Carl Scott in 1992. Joan had a career as an administrative assistant for HMS Industries and she always had a passion for cooking, travel, and fashion. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Carl Scott. She is survived by her children, Dr. Albert Bayer and Craig Bayer; her grandchildren, Joshua Bayer, Zachary Bayer and Alexandra Bayer; and her brothers, Henry Richter and Herbert Richter. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 4-5 PM, with a Memorial Service beginning at 5 PM, at Family Funeral Care, 2904 Orchard Lake Rd., Keego Harbor, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association of America, Michigan Chapter.
