

Ken was the son of, Albert and Geraldine Alflen and brother of, Robert Alflen. Ken lived with his parents and brother in Westacres subdivision most of his childhood.
Ken graduated from Walled Lake Central High School and married his high school sweetheart Kathy McNamara Alflen on December 28, 1963. Ken graduated from Ferris State University and soon moved back to Westacres where they lived for 20 years with their 3 children.
Ken is survived by his three children- Chris Alflen, Amy Alflen and Kim Alflen Baudry and her husband John Baudry. Ken is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Ryan Brimfield, Samantha Baudry, Abigail Baudry, Alayna Baudry, Rachel Alflen and Connor Alflen.
Ken was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses throughout his lifetime. He was most recently owner and CEO of Courtyard Manor Assisted Living Facilities.in Wixom, Farmington Hills, Fenton, and Schwartz Creek, Michigan. He was an avid car enthusiast and collector of vintage cars. He had a cabin in Lake Leelanau, Michigan and was in the process of building a new home in Englewood, FL. He loved to build each winter in Michigan would bring a new project to his house in Westacres and he either redesigned or designed his homes in Michigan and Florida. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home Godhardt-Tomlinson Chapel, 2904 Orchard Lake Road, Keego Harbor, MI 48320. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
