Barbara E. Cunningham

Barbara E. (Lisenbe) Cunningham passed in to the arms of her Lord and savior and waiting loved ones on May 29, 2014. She was born on September 3, 1927, the eldest child of James Frank Lisenbe and Reggie Jones who preceded her in death.

She married Artie B. Cunningham on November 5, 1955 in Killeen, Texas. They were married for 35 years prior to his death on January 22, 1990. She was preceded in death by her stepmother John Opal Lisenbe, sister Jayne Dayton, and brothers Frank James Lisenbe and Jackie Milton Lisenbe.

Barbara is survived by her brothers John Lisenbe and wife Judy, Tom Lisenbe and children, Jerry Lisenbe and wife Lisa, Charles Lisenbe and wife Donna, sisters Dana King and husband Johnny and Vicky Adamson and husband Roger. She was blessed with 34 nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Barbara was a faithful servant to the Lord at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Killeen for over forty years. She loved quilting, gardening, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She was a true friend to many; leading by example, she was a tremendous influence to all that knew her.

Barbara worked at The Texas Employment Commission (now The Texas Workforce Commission) for 22 years retiring in 1979.

A Celebration and Memorial of her life will be held on Monday June 2, 2014 at 1 p.m. at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Killeen, Texas
