Carol A Thomas

Carol was born on June 26, 1955 to John and Ann(Malsam) Stauss in Aberdeen, SD. She graduated from Aberdeen Central High School class of 1974. In 1985, she was united in marriage to Scott Thomas and they made their home in Groton, SD. Where their daughter Sarah attended school. In 2020, the South Dakota winters began to take their toll and they moved to Killeen, TX where she resided until her passing.

Carol was preceded in death by her father and mother and one brother, Don Stauss.

Surviving members of her family are her husband of 40 years, Scott Thomas; daughter, Sarah(Tim) Halsey of Brookings, SD; grandsons, Colby and Brady Halsey of Brookings, SD; brothers, Richard(Vickie) Stauss of Oregon City, OR, Ervin(Pam) Stauss of Radford, VA, Duane(Pat) Stauss of Sioux Falls, SD; sister, Sharon Fahrendorf of Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law, Sharon Stauss of Sun Lakes, AZ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A Memorial to honor Carol's life will be held at a later date at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.
