Funeral Services for Carolyn J. (Carol) Farmer,74, of Killeen, will be held 3:00 PM Monday, January 29, 2018, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Entombment at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery will be at a later date.
Carol was born March 28, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Ronald John and Eleanor Rita Kobus Hohner. She spent many years working for the Civil Service, in many capacities, and was a supervisor for Commissary’s at Ft. Hood, Ft. Riley and Lackland Air Force Base. She retired in 2001 and has since enjoying visiting and spending time with her grandbabies and her sister. Her favorite hobby was gambling and primarily enjoyed the “one armed bandits”.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Wayne Farmer, Sr., sons, Wayne Farmer, Jr. and his wife June, Tony Farmer and his wife Cara; daughter, Wendy Hetzel; sister, Betty Spear; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 PM Monday, January 29, 2018, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen which is in charge of the arrangements.
